Description

This is a secluded and charming log cabin, (8 miles from downtown Prescott), located on a ridge w/views in the tall pines and truly off the beaten path. Perfect for a retreat or relaxing stay away from city noise and traffic. This non-smoking home offers privacy and gorgeous views from the decks and windows. Two bedrooms upstairs and two down have one bath on each level. Porch swing on front covered deck overlooks forest to view spectacular sunsets (see pictures) over the Bradshaw Mountains to the west. Hardwood floors in LR/Kitchen. Total inside 2,300 sf. Tall, vaulted ceilings upstairs. Four-wheel drive is strongly recommended Low clearance vehicles will want to park at the bottom of the driveway, (700' below the house). This is a rugged back woods location and though the roads are minimally maintained, no snow removal occurs during the winter months. Great elevation at almost 7,000 ft. above sea level. Excellent exercise/relaxation opportunites.

Amenities

4 bdrm/ 2 bath, (upstairs bath has large garden/soaking tub), woodstove in living room w/firewood provided, forced air heat, fully furnished, laundry facilities, big screen satellite TV, linens, toiletries, and full kitchen utensils provided. Small/portable gas grill available for BBQ-ing. Classic board games available for use. The telescope is especially fun on the moonless evenings due to such clear, dark skies. Some free weights on site. CD player, VHS tape player, and stereo system in the living room. 2 phones/answering machine,internet-modem connection available. Large upstairs bedrooms each contain king size beds. TV in master. First floor bedrooms have 2 twins in one room and a queen size bed in the other. There is an extra air matress available w/plug in pump allowing for extra guests.

Activities and Attractions

This is the place for you if you want quiet/solitude, enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and/or exploring the forest/mountain roads on an ATV or 4X4 vehicle. Call if you're interested in bringing horses as the Groom Creek Horse Camp is nearby and a hiking/horse trail goes directly to it from the the Spruce Mt. Lookout Tower that is at approx. 8600' elevation, 1600' above the cabin. or just relax on the front porch swing overlooking the expansive views.
